Anticipation is a trivia-style, party game developed by Rare, for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Released in 1988, it's often dubbed as the first video game boardgame hybrid. The gameplay is similar to classic board games like Pictionary, with players moving around a board by rolling a die. The roll determines the color-coded category and players must guess the object or concept being sketched. Players progress by correctly guessing drawings. It can be played by 1-4 players who can either be human or computer-controlled. Its entertaining multi-genre blend presents a unique and fun experience.
